Temperatures are warming up! Yep, winter is long gone, and spring has given way to hot, hot days and afternoon storms. Along with that increase in temp, the number of Longmont summer festivities is increasing as well. It's time to head out to Longmont, Colorado, and enjoy everything summer has to offer! We've compiled a list of some of the most exciting and enjoyable events happening this summer so you can plan ahead and have some summer fun!
What To Do This Summer in Longmont
July 8 & 9, 2022
Friday & Saturday 5–10 pm
This annual music festival is finally back after being delayed for two years due to COVID-19 restrictions! Come join us for a two-night event featuring awesome bands, food & drink from local establishments, and activities for your kiddos while you’re enjoying the tunes. Bike, walk, or run (seriously, the Roger’s River Run 5k ends at the festival!), or drive to the parking lot at the Boulder County Fairgrounds and take a free shuttle over.

Boulder County Fairgrounds
Swing by the Longmont Farmer’s Market on any Saturday and you’ll find food and wares from a myriad of local vendors. Farm-fresh produce, natural meats, fine beverages, and deliciously prepared food abound! Additionally, there are kids' activities at The Firehouse Art Center, live music, and every 4th Saturday is a local artisan showcase. Lots of fun to be had and Colorado-grown food to be consumed!
Second Saturday of every month from 6–9 pm
Discover the Downtown Longmont Creative District one Saturday a month with events, food specials, longer store hours, gallery openings, music, comedy...you name it, you might see it on the Creative Crawl! This free event allows you to choose your own route and go at your own pace as you explore the Longmont. Learn something new about our creative community! Just check this month's schedule and head downtown for some fun.
June 16–July 28, 2022
Thursday nights 6:30–8 pm
Pull up your lawn chair or throw down a blanket and enjoy the music! The Summer Concert Series welcomes wonderful local and national musicians. They’ll play for you in the open air of the Longmont Museum courtyard Thursday nights through the end of July. Upcoming concerts headline Los Mocochetes, Delta Sonics, and the great Hazel Miller & the Collective. Beverages (of the adult variety) and other concessions are available, so please do not bring your own!

Boulder County Fairgrounds
The Boulder County Fair, returning for its 153rd year, is the oldest fair in Colorado! This free event (there are no parking or admission fees) opens to the public on the 11th with a lineup of concerts & dancing, rides & a petting zoo, sweets, treats, and 4-H shows. Come and go as you please, but don’t miss it!
July 16, 2022
Saturday 2:30–8:30 pm
Leftapalooza returns after two years (COVID, of course) with another awesome line-up. Kick the summer off with a local tribute band competition and fundraiser for the Left Hand Brewing Foundation! This family-friendly event (under 12 are free) lets the audience decide what kickin’ tribute band deserves the cash prize and the honor of headling in 2023. Buy tickets now because this event will sell out.

Have you ever been to an Exclusive Pool Party Beer Festival? Well, now’s your chance! Sun, sand, steel drums, unlimited pours from 50+ breweries, artisan vendors, and pool games. Though primarily a 21+ event, there will be a beach and pool for the younger crowd. It is a food drive event, so bring one non-perishable food item for entry. Hump Day got better when Sunflower Farm started doing Summer Music Evenings on Wednesday nights! Set up your chairs and blankets, bring the family and some drinks. Listen to live tunes from fantastic local bands and munch on delicious eats from local food trucks. And all of the farm activities and animals are open during the show! Make your reservations here, kids under one are free!
July 9, 2022 - August 27, 2022
Saturdays 4 pm–8:15 pm
Artist merchants, food trucks, live music, it’s like a festival every weekend! Summer On the Street is a weekly destination with “art, music, film, and fun.” This is a very kid-friendly event, bring the whole family and find an activity for everyone. There will be something new every Saturday, so check out the schedule, or just show up for a unique experience!
